1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Throuple Co LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. They govern throuple.co, the mobile application, profiles, relationship linking, matching, messaging, community features, subscriptions, and related services. By creating an account, accepting these Terms, purchasing a feature, or using the Services, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.
You must be at least 18, the age of legal majority where you live, legally able to contract, and legally permitted to use the Services. You may not use Throuple if you are required to register as a sex offender, prohibited by law or court order, or previously removed for serious or repeated violations without our authorization.
2. What Throuple provides
Throuple provides technology to help adults discover, communicate with, and form connections. We do not provide dating, medical, psychological, legal, or relationship advice; supervise meetings; guarantee matches, compatibility, identity, age, health, intentions, safety, or relationship success; endorse users or content; or conduct comprehensive criminal-background checks on every user. Recommendations and scores are estimates based on available information.
3. Accounts and independent consent
You must provide accurate, current information, protect your credentials, use only accounts you are authorized to operate, and promptly report compromise. Each adult should ordinarily maintain their own account. A shared profile or relationship page does not give one person access to another person’s account, private messages, settings, or decisions.
You may not link someone without their confirmation, represent someone as your partner without consent, act for another member, pressure disclosure, monitor or control a linked member, or continue displaying a materially false relationship representation. Members may accept or reject invitations, leave links, control their profiles and preferences, block users, and delete or deactivate accounts. Ending a link may change shared profiles, recommendations, matches, and conversation access.
4. Profiles and user content
You are responsible for your photographs, videos, profile information, biographies, messages, posts, comments, replies, reports, feedback, and other User Content. You must have permission to upload content depicting another person, must not impersonate or materially mislead users, and must respect privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, and other rights.
You retain ownership of User Content you own. You grant Throuple a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, format, resize, adapt, and distribute it only as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, display it according to settings, deliver communications, generate recommendations, provide safety and moderation, prevent abuse, support users, comply with law, and maintain and improve technical operations. This license ends when content is removed from active systems, subject to backups, recipient copies, safety/legal records, and other retention permitted by the Privacy Policy.
We will not use private messages, private photographs, sexual-preference information, or compatibility answers to publicly advertise Throuple or train a general-purpose AI model without separate notice and any legally required permission. Feedback may be used without compensation or attribution.
5. Prohibited conduct and adult content
You may not use Throuple for exploitation of minors, trafficking, nonconsensual sexual activity, violence, threats, stalking, extortion, fraud, illegal drugs or weapons, malware, money laundering, sanctions violations, or other unlawful conduct. You may not upload or distribute nonconsensual intimate imagery, voyeuristic content, deepfakes of identifiable people, private identifying information, or private communications for harassment or exposure.
You may not impersonate users or organizations, use stolen photographs, create deceptive accounts, evade enforcement, harass or repeatedly contact someone after rejection or a block, promote hatred or violence, solicit money or financial credentials, spam, scrape profiles, operate bots, run an unauthorized commercial service, bypass rate limits or moderation, falsify location or device information for abuse or fraud, reverse engineer the Services, or overload or probe our systems without permission.
Throuple is adults-only but is not an unrestricted pornography host. Explicit or graphic content may be limited or prohibited in profiles, messages, and community areas. Consent to match or communicate is not consent to receive explicit content; affirmative permission is required before sending explicit images or videos.
6. Community, matching, messaging, and safety
Community content may be visible to multiple users. Do not identify people without permission, reveal relationship or sexual information, repost private conversations, manipulate engagement, coordinate harassment, or use community spaces primarily for commercial promotion. Matching decisions may affect recommendations, compatibility, shared conversations, and safety filtering. Individual decisions may remain private, and we do not disclose confidential formulas or safety indicators.
Recipients can save, screenshot, record, or forward communications. Messages may be reviewed when reported or when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud, abuse prevention, rule enforcement, or legal compliance. Blocking cannot prevent outside contact, new accounts, or retention of previously received content. Reports must be honest; Throuple is not an emergency-response service.
7. Moderation and enforcement
We may use reports, automated systems, human review, technical signals, and available evidence to investigate violations. We may warn, remove or restrict content, reduce visibility, limit messaging or matching, require verification, restrict relationship links, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, issue refunds where appropriate, or report apparent criminal activity. Action may occur without advance notice where necessary for safety, evidence preservation, legal compliance, or urgent risk. Appeals may be submitted through the notice provided or to support@throuple.co.
8. Paid features and subscriptions
We may offer subscriptions, purchases, trials, promotions, or paid features. Before purchase, material terms such as price, billing frequency, duration, renewal, trial, cancellation method, and restrictions will be disclosed. Subscriptions may renew until canceled. App-store subscriptions are billed and canceled through the applicable store; deleting the app or account does not necessarily cancel them. Cancellation ordinarily stops future renewal but does not refund the current period unless required by law or stated at purchase.
Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law or stated purchase terms. EU, EEA, UK, and other consumers retain mandatory withdrawal, conformity, refund, and digital-service rights that cannot legally be waived.
9. Account closure and service changes
You may pause, hide, deactivate, or request deletion of your account. Deleting the app does not delete the account. Deletion is governed by the Privacy Policy and does not necessarily remove recipient copies, transaction records, safety or enforcement records, historical relationship or audit records, or temporary backups.
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, restrict, or terminate Services or accounts for violations, safety risks, fraud, ineligibility, overdue payment, legal requirements, enforcement evasion, vendor/platform changes, inactivity, or discontinuation. Serious misconduct or urgent safety risks may result in immediate termination, subject to non-waivable legal rights.
10. Intellectual property and third parties
Throuple’s software, interfaces, brands, designs, text, graphics, recommendation systems, and databases are owned by or licensed to Throuple. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license for lawful, personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, scrape, extract data, create derivative or competing services, access source code, or commercially exploit the Services.
App stores, payment processors, authentication providers, and other third parties have separate terms and privacy policies. Throuple is not responsible for third-party services, outside transactions, external websites, or conduct occurring outside the Services.
11. Disclaimers, safety, liability, and indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, accurate recommendations, truthful profiles, compatible or safe users, message delivery or retention, or that security measures will prevent every unauthorized event. Communicating with and meeting strangers involves risk; use reasonable precautions, protect personal information, do not send money, meet safely, respect boundaries, obtain affirmative consent, and contact emergency services when necessary.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Throuple and its related parties are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages. Total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of amounts paid directly to Throuple in the preceding 12 months or $100, except for liability that cannot legally be limited. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Throuple for third-party claims arising from your unlawful use, User Content, Terms violations, fraud, abuse, or rights violations, subject to applicable law.
12. Disputes, governing law, and general terms
For US users to the extent permitted by law, most disputes must be resolved through individual binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act and applicable AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules, after a 30-day informal notice process. Class, collective, consolidated, representative, and private-attorney-general proceedings are waived to the extent permitted. Eligible small-claims, urgent injunctive-relief, intellectual property, and legally non-arbitrable claims are excluded. You may opt out by emailing legal@throuple.co within 30 days after first accepting these Terms with your name, account email, username, and clear opt-out notice.
Except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise, Wyoming law governs and courts located in Wyoming have jurisdiction for disputes not subject to arbitration. We may update these Terms with reasonable notice for material changes. Electronic notices are permitted. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, incorporated policies, purchase terms, and feature-specific terms are the entire agreement.
